What is Mobile Link?

Stay connected to your Generac® home standby generator anytime, anywhere.

When the power goes out, your generator is your safety net. Mobile Link™ remote monitoring lets you keep an eye on that safety net from your phone, tablet, or computer, so you always know your system is ready when you need it.

What Is Mobile Link?

Mobile Link is Generac’s remote monitoring platform for home standby generators. Using the Mobile Link app or web portal, you can check your generator’s status, view upcoming maintenance, and receive notifications if the system needs attention.

Most newer Generac air-cooled home standby generators come with onboard Wi-Fi, so they’re ready to connect to Mobile Link right out of the box.

How Mobile Link Works

  1. Your generator connects to your home network

    • Built-in Wi-Fi on most 2018-and-newer air-cooled and Guardian® models lets the generator connect to your router.

  2. Mobile Link talks to Generac’s secure servers

    • The generator sends operating data (status, run time, faults, etc.) to Generac’s cloud platform.

  3. You monitor everything from the Mobile Link app or browser

    • Log in on your phone, tablet, or computer to see real-time generator information and alerts.

Optional accessories allow connection over cellular networks and enable fuel tank level monitoring for even more robust protection.

2. Cellular Accessory (Optional Upgrade)

  • For homes without reliable Wi-Fi or with poor router coverage near the generator.
  • Uses multi-carrier LTE (4G/5G) across the U.S. and Canada for more reliable monitoring, even during outages when home internet might go down.

3. LTE LP Fuel Level Monitor (Optional)

  • Attaches to your propane tank and integrates with Mobile Link to display tank level and help prevent “dry tank” situations.

  • Make sure your generator is in a safe, ready state.

    • Inside the Mobile Link app, select Brite Gen as your preferred service provider so we can respond quickly to service requests and, if desired, offer dealer-managed monitoring.

  2. Select Your Monitoring Plan

    • Activate Basic (free Wi-Fi) monitoring or upgrade to a Premium plan for enhanced features.
