Returns Overview

At Brite Generators, customer satisfaction is important to us. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, eligible items may be returned in accordance with the policy below.

This policy applies to all Generac generators and related products purchased through britegenerators.com.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be in new, unused condition
  • Items must be in original packaging
  • Return request must be made within 30 days of delivery
  • Proof of purchase is required

Items that have been installed, used, or modified may not be eligible for return.

Return Methods

We offer the following return options:

  • ✔ Return by mail (primary method for online orders)
  • ✔ In-store return (if applicable to your purchase location)

Customers will receive return instructions after approval of the return request.

Restocking Fee

Standard parcel items may be returned within 30 days if new, unused, and in original packaging. Certain special-order, damaged-packaging, or freight-related returns may be subject to a restocking fee up to 20%. Installed, used, custom-configured, special-order, clearance, and final-sale items may not be eligible for return unless damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Refund Processing Time

Once the returned item is received and inspected:

  • Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method

Please note that banking institutions may require additional time to post the refund.

Return Shipping

  • If the return is due to an error on our part (wrong item or defective product), we will cover return shipping costs.
  • For all other returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items may not be eligible for return:

  • Installed generators
  • Used or damaged equipment not caused during shipping
  • Clearance or final sale items
  • Custom-configured or special-order systems

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos of the damage and packaging
  • We will arrange a replacement or repair at no cost
